eBunda.org Portal – Farihah & Mahyuddin (Resource)
The follow-up discussion was attended by 18 invited attendees held on Friday 19 Feb 2010. Attendees gained the opportunity to explore and provide feedback of the portal. The feedback was positive in having a user-friendly, collaborative and interactive portal targeting different aspect of age groups. The portal seeks the opportunity to assist the progression of Brunei. Media coverage from BB and BT was present as we seek the public’s feedback on the portal.
So far, the response has been great. The attendees highlighted actions points for the team. Insya Allah, by next week we will have a physical dialogue for the contents of the portal and then we would have an official launch of the webpage.
BAG Networks Chinese New Year Celebration - Paul & Sharon (IQ)
BAG Networks celebrated the Chinese New Year – the Year of the Tiger – on 22 Feb 2010. The celebration started with Puan Haslina’s speech about the year of the tiger. Our special guest, the God of Fortune (courtesy of Willie On) who distributed chocolate bars, which symbolised wealth and mandarin oranges, which symbolised luck. After that, members of BAG and our clients were invited to take part in the ceremony of “Lau Sheng”. They mixed the ingredients together with the chopsticks, hoping that this year will be a year with oneness, prosperity and wealth for all of us.
TAFIS Operations Teambuilding – Rozana (HR)
TAFIS Operations had their first monthly update and ended their session with a team building activity. The name of the game was “Tall Towers” and their objective was to build the tallest
tower made ONLY from newspapers. There were two snags. The first, the newspaper tower had to withstand the forces of “nature” (in the form of Rozana fanning it as hard as she can!) and the second, all the team members had to have their hands tied to one another. It was incredible to see the different types of towers – it was beyond my imagination. The activity was won by Jeff, Chui Boon, Gilbert, Alaister, Clyde and Farisan who built the tallest standing tower after careful planning and working with precision in rolling and folding the newspapers. They shared their prize of a box of chocolates with those around them. Apart from team work and building that sense of team spirit, the activity aimed at promoting communication amongst team members, planning and creativity.
